Ken Bowman
CEO

Bowman has more than twenty years of progressive leadership and administrative experience in a major academic medical center. He received his undergrad and graduate degree from Governors State University, University Park, Ill., and served as an adjunct professor at Governors State University in College of Health Professions – Division of Health Administration.

Bowman started his healthcare administrative career at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center, Chicago, Ill., as the senior organ transplant procurement coordinator. He earned his National Certification for Organ Procurement and Transplantation – CPTC, in 1993. Bowman was appointed to this position after playing a key role on the artificial heart research project at Rush.

Bowman also received his Illinois Nursing Home Administration License in 1994 and served as facility administrator for HCR Manor Care Health Services, Naperville, Ill. During this time, he published: Resources Manual For The Licensure Examination For Nursing Home Administrators, Irwin Professional Publications, 11/96. In addition, Bowman opened the first rehabilitation outpatient clinic within a long-term care facility in the state of Illinois with Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital and Rest Haven Christian Services.

Bowman has represented the State of Illinois on capital hill as an Illinois delegates with the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging, Washington, DC., and he continues to lecture at national conferences on key topics and challenges within the delivery of healthcare services.


Dr. Robert Gao
Medical Director
Dr. Gao is board-certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R). He has had a medical practice in Las Vegas since 2001. He graduated from Shanghai Second Medical University in China and has a master’s degree in science from San Francisco. He completed his residency at Brookdale University Hospital, in Brooklyn, N.Y., and completed his residency in PM&R at UCLA/West LA VA Hospital in Los Angeles.

Angelita Budnik Angelita Budnik
Chief Nursing Officer

Budnik joined HealthSouth in 2008 as a part time nurse liaison, and later accepted the position of Chief Nursing Officer to bring her years of knowledge and experience to the table full-time for HealthSouth. She has worked as an acute care nurse for more than 32 years, and spent 15 years overseas in Saudi Arabia as a nursing manager and nursing supervisor. Before moving to the United States, Budnik worked in the Philippines as a staff nurse and a charge nurse at the University Hospital. For the past 11 years she was with St. Rose Dominican Hospital as a charge nurse. Her experience includes medical/surgical nursing, neurology, labor and delivery, pediatrics, oncology, and orthopedics. 


Angelita Budnik Angelita Budnik

Budnik joined HealthSouth in 2008 as a part time nurse liaison. Donna Rolshouse, R.N., C.P.H.Q.
Director of Quality & Risk
Rolshouse is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) with 20 years experience in healthcare quality management in acute care and managed care settings and has been a registered nurse for 30 years. She joined HealthSouth in July 2010. Rolshouse spent most of her career working in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; leaving University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and moving to Las Vegas in 2003. She is a member of a group of professionals who formed the Nevada Association for Healthcare Quality (NVAHQ) and was the President in 2005 during the first year of formation.

Kristen Machtemes
Director of Therapy Operations
Kristen has been an employee of HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Henderson since 2003.  She graduated in 2001 with a bachelor's degree from Richard Stockton College of New Jersey and received a master's degree in physical therapy in 2003 from the same school.  She is the coordinator of clinical education for HealthSouth's therapy student program and the spasticity program coordinator for HealthSouth's intrathecal baclofen program.  Kristen's certifications include ergonomic assessment specialist, Bioness L300 technology, ABLS and EKG.

Marilyn Fink
Director of Marketing Operations
Marilyn comes to our hospital with more than 20 years of health care experience. She has been employed with HealthSouth for more than 15 years. She worked for 13 years at Sunrise Rehabilitation Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., before moving to Henderson. A certified rehabilitation registered nurse, Marilyn graduated from Queensborough College in New York in 1984.

Bob Bollard
Chief Financial Officer
Bob received a master’s degree in public administration/health care administration from Brigham Young University in Utah. He has more than 30 years of experience in health care financial administration. Bob has been married 35 years and has three children and three grandchildren. He helped open HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Henderson in 2001.

Sue Loving
Director of Human Resources

Susan joined HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Henderson in March of 2005 with 13 years experience in hospital-based human resources in the state of California.  She holds a certificate in human resources management from California Lutheran University.  Her variety of experience in human resources includes recruitment and retention, training, compensation, employee relations, benefits, and workers compensation.


James Lomas
Director Plant Operations
Lomas joined HealthSouth in August 2010. He has an associate's degree in Mechanical Technology from CCSN and a Universal Certification in HVAC. He has more than seven years experience in healthcare engineering and is a 20 year Air Force Veteran.
